For Louisville, Kentucky–based Hotel Genevieve’s zine, a DIY aesthetic echoes the gritty tradition of underground 20th-century zines, serving as the vehicle to explore the hotel’s themes of folkcraft, state icons and fringe stories. Peppered with whimsy and rebelliousness in the language and visuals, this zine was our in-road to reveal Louisville’s lesser known histories and share a vibrant, inclusive narrative.
